New Berry Crop in Watsonville
Our 2005 strawberry season is just beginning in the Watsonville/Salinas area. As Spring weather approaches with warm temperatures the northern California growing district, volume will increase and continue throughout the summer months.
Organic Strawberries
We are now harvesting these high quality organic strawberries from the Watsonville region of California. These flavorful, bright red berries are available now through November as the season shifts to northern districts. Organic strawberries help to provide choices to today's consumer. Be sure to contact our sales office for more information on seasonality and availability.
Onions Available
Pacific Gold Farms has added green onions and dry onions to its product line.
Green Onions will be available for shipment from Watsonville California during the months April through October. White, yellow and red Globe onions will be available for shipment from Brawley California in April and May.

4/1/04 - Spring Holiday Strawberries
Easter is April 11 this year, just in time for peak strawberry season in California. Pacific Gold Farms is anticipating excellent quality strawberries for Easter and Mother’s Day, which falls on May 9.

1/28/04 - Shippers Unite to Sponsor Valentine's Television Show
Strawberry shippers from Orange County, CA have come together in support of Albertson's to sponsor a Valentine's Day television program called Bringing it Home. This show is a half-hour series sponsored by Albertson's with celebrated television host Laura McIntosh, of the hit ABC cooking show Full Bloom.

1/23/04 - Organics Expands in 2004 Responding to Demand
Pacific Gold Farms is expanding availability of organic strawberries in 2004 and giving the product line a new look. The company has been a statewide grower-shipper of conventionally California strawberries since 1987, and began growing organic strawberries in 1999. Since that time period, organic acreage has steadily increased, now in two growing districts within California.

8/11/03 - Pacific Gold Expands Organic Program
Pacific Gold Farms is responding to increased demand for organic produce items. This summer the company has added organic green beans to its product line in the Watsonville and Salinas area in California. The company has been a statewide grower-shipper of conventionally California strawberries since 1987, and began growing organic strawberries in 1999.

6/24/03 - Its Summertime at Pacific Gold Farms
As you drive along the country roads in the Pajaro Valley around Watsonville, California, the sweet smell of strawberries will remind you it is summer time. This is the time of year we all wait for " peak strawberry season.

5/23/03 - Pacific Gold Farms Increases Pepper Acreage
Buyers and consumers can expect Pacific Gold Farms sweet colored peppers earlier this year. For the past several years, Pacific Gold has farmed peppers in southern California July through December. Due to strong demand, the company's bell pepper season has been extended in both length of season and daily volume. Total acreage has increased by 50% this season and is expected to increase again for 2004.

Pacific Gold Farms Takes on a New Look
Buyers and consumers are seeing a new Pacific Gold in 2003. The company has just completed their roll out of a new look on everything from business cards to boxes. The change in the company logo is part of an ongoing strategy to increase visibility in the marketplace and impact consumers purchasing the final product

Nutrition Research on Strawberries
4/14/03- The California Strawberry Commission has significantly increased activities in the area of nutrition research. The Commission reports that preliminary clinical results show strawberries may affect heart health.
